Proverbs teaches us one way to avoid calamity. The method is not that complicated. Are you ready hear about one way to avoid calamity? Here it is...
"He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity."
Our world could save itself from many calamities by controlling the tongue.
On another note John introduces Jesus by saying..."I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." John knew his role in the Kingdom of God. How great it is to find the way God wants to use you!
