We read of Jesus' Sermon on the Plain in Luke with many of the same teachings at the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew. One passage appears unique to Luke...
"He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher."
There is modern way of putting this Biblical truth..."You cannot share what you do not have." Another of stating this is..."the blind leading the blind."
Saul not misses the Lord's Spirit guiding him but allows David's popularity to drive him into jealous evil plotting. The story is only going to get worse for Saul. A king who was not just leading blindly but allowing his envy to blind him.
